General Dynamics C4 Systems will deliver GPS-equipped PDAs, along with other hardware and software, to U.S. armed forces under modifications to existing contracts. These contract modifications total $39 million and raise the cumulative value of contracts under the CHS-2 program to $867 million.

Through the CHS-2 program, the General Dynamics [NYSE: GD] unit provides U.S. armed forces with next-generation commercial and ruggedized workstations as well as associated hardware and software. The new orders also include handheld computers and situational awareness software, hardened UNIX notebook computers for the advanced field artillery tactical data system, and ruggedized, rack-mountable servers, displays and network equipment for the Patriot missile system.
