The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs has hired Krefed, Germany-based Triaton to install a satellite-supported very small aperture terminal (VSAT) network between the main office in Berlin office and foreign offices in countries with poor communications infrastructure.

The voice and data communication network based on frame relay technology will connect numerous facilities in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas, the company said.
