Darby Sanchez has been named CEO of GlobeCast Asia, a unit of satellite service provider GlobeCast (Paris), a France Telecom [NYSE: FTE] unit. As CEO of GlobeCast Asia, Sanchez will be responsible for overall direction and management of the company’s operations in the Asia Pacific, which comprises a master control center and access to teleport facilities in Singapore, and liaison offices in New Delhi and Tokyo. Based in Singapore, Sanchez will assume the position at the end of April following the departure of Doug Triblehorn.

Sanchez joined GlobeCast in 1999, as vice president of Latin America sales based at GlobeCast America in Miami. Prior to joining GlobeCast, Sanchez was director of Latin American sales for L3 Communications-Satellite Transmission Systems.
