Analytical Graphics has signed up Satellite Engineering Research (SERC) as a business partner for its Satellite Tool Kit (STK). SERC President Robert A. Nelson said he uses STK in his consulting practice to perform studies such as high-precision orbit propagation; ground track and coverage properties; and communications link analysis.

Nelson also uses STK in courses that he teaches to help satellite communications engineers, spacecraft engineers, and engineering managers understand the “big picture” of satellite communications, and see how to combine communications analysis with the power of STK for all aspects of system design and operations.
