Satellite service provider SpaceConnection has signed an exclusive marketing agreement with PanAmSat [SPOT] that will provide the satellite news gathering (SNG) market with an access facility. Under the terms of the agreement, SpaceConnection will leverage the power of PanAmSat’s SBS 6 satellite to support its SNG facility.

The SNG center will allow SpaceConnection to access PanAmSat’s SBS 6 designated transponders directly, enabling it to provide access for news events, remote-site interviews and short form satellite windows. This revenue-sharing agreement enables SpaceConnection to sell SBS 6 satellite capacity, both analog and digital, in 5-, 10- and 15- minute increments.
