Honda Motor Co.’s [NYSE: HME]Acura dealerships in the United States began taking delivery this week of the first Acura model vehicle and first luxury sedan to include an audio system from XM Satellite Radio [XMSR] as standard equipment. The new 2004 Acura 3.5RL is the first of the automobile manufacturer’s vehicles to offer XM as factory installed equipment.

XM will be available as a dealer installed option on Honda’s Accord and Pilot models later this spring. The Honda Division expects to offer XM as factory-installed equipment beginning with the 2004 Accord later this year. Honda plans to expand the availability of XM-ready radios to additional Honda and Acura models during the 2005 model year and beyond.
