A Boeing [NYSE: BA] Delta IV rocket is scheduled to launch the first satellite for the U.S. Air Force Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle program on Saturday from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla.

Liftoff is scheduled during a 77-minute window that opens at 6:44 p.m. EST from space launch complex 37B.

A Delta IV medium launch vehicle configuration will deploy the Defense Satellite Communications System spacecraft (DSCS III A3) to geosynchronous transfer orbit.
