Digital broadcast platformsupplier Scopus Network Technologies has signed a pact to supply a complete head-end digital broadcasting system to Television and Radio Broadcasting Services Australia Pty. Ltd. (TARBS).
TARBS’ new direct-to-home system is offering 52 channels throughout Central and North America. TARBS is using Scopus’ (Israel) digital platform, deployed at a PanAmSat [Nasdaq: SPOT] teleport in Napa Valley, Calif., to broadcast the 52 channels over four satellite transponders in an effort to “greatly expand” its operations in the Americas, company officials said.
