Ramu Potarazu, president and chief operating officer of Intelsat Global Service, will be promoted to president and COO of the parent company Intelsat Ltd. next month, the company announced today.

Potarazu will assume expanded responsibilities for the direction of business development, marketing, broadband programs and establishing new strategic business units for voice and data, video, and government services. He will also be responsible for directing Intelsat’s corporate strategy.

Kevin Mulloy, senior vice president for strategy and business development at Intelsat Global Service, will succeed Potarazu as president of the unit.
