Satellite broadcast provider GlobeCast, a France Telecom [NYSE: FTE] subsidiary, is expanding its Asian operations to include Japan and Korea through the opening of a liaison office in Tokyo.

The Tokyo office will serve as the local GlobeCast bureau to broadcasters and corporate network users in Japan and Korea, providing a local gateway to its Singapore-based subsidiary, the company said. GlobeCast (Paris) has appointed Nicolas Deal to head Tokyo office as director of marketing for Japan and Korea.
