Digital Angel [AMEX: DOC] received two purchase orders for 6,000 of its personal Global Positioning System mobile connectivity units from its exclusive distributor in Mexico–Corporativo S.C.M., which operates under the Guardian Digital brand. The purchase orders, with a retail value exceeding $2 million, are part of the company’s exclusive distribution agreement announced in August that calls for Guardian Digital to buy Digital Angel products and services worth at least $18 million over five years to keep exclusive Mexican sales rights.

The 6,000 units are scheduled to be delivered by June 30, and provide annual subscriber revenues of roughly $800,000 to be split between Digital Angel and its Mexican distributor.
