The last flight of the highly reliable Ariane 4 rocket is scheduled for Feb. 12. It will carry the Intelsat 907 satellite into orbit, Arianespace officials said.

The 4,685-kilogram (10,328-pound) telecommunications satellite has been enclosed in its protective payload fairing at the Arianespace’s spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, marking one of the final preparative steps for the mission. The move cleared the way for the satellite’s transfer this week to the launch zone.
