Canada’s Norsat International Inc. [NSAT; NII], a designer and marketer of satellite products for high-speed data transmission, sold a specialized terminal to an unidentified New York-based broadcaster, company officials said.

The Norsat NewsLink portable satellite terminal, designed for remote news broadcasting, is scheduled for delivery in early February. The terminal can be carried in two suitcases and deployed in the field in several minutes without special tools, company officials said.
