Nera Telecommunications (NeraTel) signed a memorandum of understanding with Isaiah Verse 65 Foundation in the Philippines for the supply, delivery and implementation of 1,000 Nera satellite communications terminals.

The contract for Nera’s WorldCommunicator with mobile packet data service (MPDS) is valued at $5.3 million. An option exists for a future order of approximately 2,000 units of Nera WorldCommunicators.

The WorldCommunicator, commonly used in broadcast for satellite newsgathering and transmitting video images, will transmit data transactions via Inmarsat‘s satellites using the propriety electronics business operating system of I-65 Corp.
