Amnis Systems [OTC: AMNM], a provider of networked streaming video systems, has signed an agreement with Hughes Network Systems (HNS), the broadband satellite unit of Hughes Electronics [NYSE: GMH], to join its Hughes broadband alliance.

Amnis (Palo Alto, Calif.) will design its MPEG video over IP network appliance and software products to be compatible with HNS’ (Germantown, Md.) SpaceWay broadband platform. Scheduled to launch service in 2004, SpaceWay will provide full-mesh connectivity for delivery of high-bandwidth services.
