Aether Systems [Nasdaq: AETH] (Owings Mills, Md.) , in partnership with TransCommunications (Chattanooga, Tenn.), a provider of business telecom products for the transportation industry, and the Mobilacomm Eagle division of BOT Engineering (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), are launching GeoLogic satellite- based asset tracking system. GeoLogic allows fleet managers to monitor thousands of trailers in the field.

Truckload carrier U.S. Xpress Enterprises [Nasdaq: XPRSA] will be the first company to deploy the system. It operates a fleet of over 12,000 trailers.
