NDS CEO Abe Peled outlined the challenges for conditional access vendors this year. NDS is trying to bounce back from a difficult 12 months. Last year, NDS became embroiled in high-profile legal disputes with players such as Canal+ Technologies and EchoStar Communications [Nasdaq: DISH].

Peled told SATELLITE TODAY: “Our number one priority and strategy is to continue to support our existing customers so that they can continue to provide the best service and security. Secondly, we need to win new customers and our focus is in the U.S., Asia Pacific and potentially there are opportunities for winbacks in Europe.”
