Passengers aboard a Lufthansa [OTC: DLAKY] Boeing 747-400 can use laptops to gain high-speed connections to the Internet, including full access to their personal or business e-mail accounts and files.

As part of a three-month demonstration, Lufthansa will make the service available free-of-charge to passengers throughout the airplane, which flies daily between Frankfurt, German, and Washington-Dulles International Airport outside Washington, D.C. The Connexion by Boeing service used by the Lufthansa wide-body aircraft for in inflight communications began Wednesday when passengers were able to have broadband Internet access for the first time. Passengers can use their own laptops or devices provided by Lufthansa.
