Canada’s BSM Technologies Inc. [Toronto: BSM] announced Thursday that it plans to enter the commercial vehicle security and safety market with a line of wireless products and software offerings.

BSM’s Guardian product provides ongoing proactive monitoring of vehicles, passengers and contents on the GSM/GPRS networks serving over 400 million users worldwide. Its Stinger product, developed in cooperation with the Minneapolis Police Department and Minneapolis Auto Theft Prevention Task Force, is an integrated hardware/software wireless product designed for surveillance and tracking of vehicles and mobile assets in high-risk police operations.
