Canal Strengthens Alliance

Canal Satellite has concluded long-term contracts with SES Astra for two additional transponders at 19.2 degrees E. Canal Satellite has almost two million subscribers receiving up to 230 TV and radio channels, as well as new interactive services.

Ferdinand Kayser, president and CEO of SES Astra said: “The additional transponder capacity enables a further enhancement of the Canal Satellite programme line-up, thus supporting our customer’s proclaimed aim of achieving a two million subscriber milestone by year end.”
