Hispasat has gained permission from the regulatory authorities to offer commercial satellite services in Paraguay. The authorization was obtained from the National Commission of Telecommunications (CONATEL). The deal was signed by the president of CONATEL, Victor Alcides Bogardo and the CEO of Hispasat, Jacinto Garcia Palacios at recent conference in Seville. According to Hispasat, it now has the largest presence in the Western Hemisphere of any European satellite operator.
