Eutelsat has increased its stake in Hispasat to 27.69 percent from 21.15 percent. Eutelsat initially signed an agreement with Hispasat last August to take a 21.15 percent stake. The increased stake now gives Eutelsat three seats on Hispasat’s board of directors. The investment in Hispasat gives Eutelsat the opportunity to participate in Hispasat’s core markets in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America. Hispasat is due to launch its fourth satellite later this year.
