The Andalucian regional station RTVA and production company Andalucia Digital Multimedia have launched Canal Andalucia Turismo, a thematic channel dedicated to promoting tourism in Andalucia in the south of Spain. The service is available free-to-air on Eutelsat’s Hot Bird 2 and through the channel Canal Sur, distributed by the digital platforms Canal Satellite Digital and Via Digital. Capable of reaching 81 million people worldwide, it will initially air seven hours of programming daily in Spanish and English, eventually becoming a 24-hour service and also broadcasting in French and German. Canal Andalucia Turismo will air news and reports about all aspects of tourism in Andalucia, including weather info, events and info about beaches.
