NEW SPORTS CHANNEL FOR UK

The BBC and UK cableco NTL are set to launch a new sports channel named British Sport. The service, which will be created by NTL subsidiary Premium Television and backed by JP Morgan to the tune of $100 million, will offer both live and archive sports programming and is likely to be made available to all platforms.
