TELE 24 LAUNCHES NEWS CHANNEL

Swiss commercial broadcaster Tele 24 has received a licence to launch a financial news channel. Money 24 will be Switzerland’s first domestic channel concentrating on financial news and information and stock exchange market updates both from the Swiss and international markets.
The launch is planned for October 1. Money 24 will be available, like Tele 24, to cable homes in the German-speaking part of the country and to DTH homes joining its sister channel within Globecast’s multiplex on Hot Bird 3 (13 degrees East), transponder 84 (12.380 GHz V, SR 27.500, FEC 3/4).
