In the last issue of Mobile Satellite News, Dennis Billard, vice president at Telesat Canada was quoted as citing market estimations for broadband services to reach $37 billion in revenues in 2008. He quoted an article appearing in our sister publication, Communications Today. Those estimates, which appeared in the Communications Today article were taken from a research report entitled Next Generation Broadband Satellite Networks, available from Cambridge, Mass.-based consultancy Pioneer Consulting.
