IP telephony pioneer TeleNet Communications has signed a contract with Kingston TLI for one of the first ever voice over IP transmissions using GEO satellites. Kingston TLI has been signed up to provide satellite transmission services and space segment on New Skies 703 (57 degrees East). TeleNet will use the capacity for its new voice over IP service to south-east Asia.
