Slovakian channels Luna TV and NASA TV will be added to Telenor Satellite’s Central and Eastern European broadcasting platform. Both will join Telenor’s Intelsat 707 platform later this year. Norway-based Telenor has focused much of its recent marketing efforts in Central and Eastern Europe and this has resulted in contracts with STV (Slovakian Public Television), Estonian TV1, Bulgaria’s Delta TV and Mustang TV, ORT (Russian National Television) and several regional radio stations. Telenor also distributes BBC Prime in the region. Bratislava-based Luna TV, to be launched by WN Danubius Film, is Slovakia’s newest commercial channel. Both channels have signed a 10-year contract with Telenor.
