The worldwide corporate business TV channel planned by German-American automobile company Daimler-Chrysler (Interspace 671) has launched test transmissions for Europe on Eutelsat’s Hot Bird 3 satellite at 13 degrees East. The broadcasts on Deutsche Telekom’s transponder 76 (12.236 GHz V, SR 13.400, FEC 3/4) consist of 18 TV channels which are named PGM and DCTV (Daimler-Chrysler Television). Some channels are encrypted; others are free-to-air testcards with animated graphics. Feed traffic for the service was observed on Deutsche Telekom’s DFS Kopernikus 2 FM 2 satellite at 28.5 degrees East.
