[Via Satellite 03-27-2014] Globecomm has announced that Texas-based Evolve Broadband has deployed its LTE solutions, delivering a cost-effective and efficient path to 4G/LTE. After successfully completing LTE trials with Globecomm, the regional carrier has finished its initial 35 percent of coverage area LTE build-out, joining other rural operators in using Globecomm’s hosted LTE core and Converged Packet Gateway (CPG) solution.

Globecomm’s hybrid 4G LTE network services provide a professionally managed LTE core that enhances capital saving and operations without requiring the carrier to hire trained core network operators. The company’s CPG solution keeps Internet traffic local to a carrier’s market, reducing backhaul costs and providing efficient data access.

“Our business model is predicated on having partners that deliver the services that make our solutions work at an optimal level,” said Lowell Feldman, CEO of Evolve. “With the launch of our 4G LTE network, we are now in an excellent position to offer our customers the expanded capacity and advanced features that they are demanding.”
