[Via Satellite 02-24-2014] SES has released its revenue and EBITDA earnings for 2013. Overall revenue increased 3.4 percent, while the 2013 EBITDA saw a 2.8 percent increase with a total profit increase of 7.7 percent.

SES has also seen a 12 percent increase in the number of TV channels carried to more than 6,200. Direct-to-home (DTH) broadcasting remains at the core of SES’ business for the majority of the European region revenue, with a 14 percent increase in the number of channels broadcast over SES satellites in Europe in 2013. SES also carried out three successful satellite launches in 2013: the SES 6 launched in June, Astra 2E in September, and SES 8 in February.

Romain Bausch, president and CEO of SES, also commented on his intention to step down from his position this coming April.

“I have every confidence that the company will continue to develop and prosper under the leadership of Karim Michel Sabbagh and the executive team in place. This foundation is set to deliver continued organic revenue and EBITDA growth of 6 to 7 percent in 2014, a three-year organic revenue and EBITDA CAGR of 4 to 4.5 percent and significant financial headroom to invest in further profitable opportunities. I look forward to continued involvement with the company as a member of the Board of Directors,” said Bausch.
