[Via Satellite 01-21-2014] Telstra Global has launched new Points-of-Presence (PoPs), increasing its global Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network in Western Europe and the American Midwest. The latest launch of PoPs in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris and Chicago will provide customers with access to more than 1,900 PoPs across more than 230 countries and territories.

“Directly connected to the Telstra Global MPLS backbone, the new infrastructure addresses increasing customer demand for connectivity into Asia Pacific and will help multinational organizations gain greater competitive advantage in their global operations,” said Bernadette Noujaim Baldwin, Telstra Global’s head of connectivity and platforms portfolio.
