SpaceBridge launched a its new Estella’s UniHub, a new compact all-in-one VSAT hub platform. The solution aims to simplify satellite network deployment alongside high performance, efficiency, and scalability. SpaceBridge made the announcement of UniHub during SATShow Week.

UniHub integrates key gateway functions, including software defined radio (SDR) multichannel modulator and burst multichannel demodulator (up to 800 carriers), high-performance computer resources providing network communication Center (NCC), high-performance packet handling, quality of service (QoS), innovative scheduling, advanced waveforms such as TDMA and dSCPC, and network management system functions into a single unified platform.

UniHub aims to reduce infrastructure complexity, minimize footprint and SWaP, improve spectral efficiency, and enables operators to increase capacity while lowering the cost to deploy and manage satellite networks more effectively and efficiently, allowing them to double return channel capacity.

In a recent interview with Via Satellite, SpaceBridge CEO, David Gelerman said he expects a strong dealflow for UniHub this year. Gelerman said he anticipates strong interest across both government and commercial sectors.

“In the first 12 months, we expect particular momentum in sovereign national network deployments, as well as defense and secure mobility applications. Emerging operators seeking cost-effective rapid market entry for the large, telco grade VSAT platforms are another target customer base. Given current geopolitical dynamics and procurement trends, we expect accelerated evaluation and deployment cycles compared to traditional hub infrastructure,” he said.
