ST Engineering iDirect Debuts Intuition Platform

ST Engineering iDirect announced its next-generation ground system Intuition, aiming to improve speed, scale, cost and flexibility of service. Intuition, announced Monday, is an advanced satellite networking ground system. It is built on five core capabilities: virtualized, cloud-based infrastructure; intelligent, multi-orbit support; standards-based network convergence; end-to-end orchestration; and flexible go-to-market strategies. 

“We’ve listened intently to our customers’ needs and ambitions. Intuition represents the point where everything comes together – its goal is to constantly learn and anticipate, to understand every aspect of what’s happening inside the network, and to make the right decisions at every step in this increasingly complex environment,” said Don Claussen, CEO at ST Engineering iDirect. 

Claussen said there are billions of dollars in new service revenue in the coming years, but the opportunities are available to those who move towards “interoperability in a global, multi-domain, cloud-enabled, standards-based telecom model,” he added.
