ST Engineering iDirect introduced Intuition Unbound, a ground segment implementation with a consumption-based model, the company announced on March 10.

ST Engineering iDirect said Intuition Unbound can lower market entry costs and speed up revenue generation for satellite operators and service providers while meeting the demand for flexible ground solutions.

The company said Intuition Unbound marks a shift from traditional infrastructure business models to consumption-focused solutions built for the dynamic operational requirements of the current market. The model provides service options through a usage-based pricing structure which lowers investment costs for satellite operators.

Intuition Unbound works with the Intuition virtualized, cloud-based ground system that ST Engineering iDirect announced at SATELLITE last year. 

Intuition Unbound provides plans for managing network configuration, monitoring, and event response. It also allows for seamless scalability as network demands grow, utilizing ST Engineering iDirect’s advanced technology on a consumption basis. It also offers lifecycle services from consulting and project management to training and ongoing support and maintenance.
