Generation Next: Shame’er Shah bin Kamal, Measat

Malaysia is a hotbed for new satellite talent. Satellite operator Measat is a standard bearer for the industry in Malaysia. Shame’er Shah bin Kamal is a young engineer working for Measat.

He says the Millennial generation, as he calls it, has an optimistic view of the satellite and space industry. He cites highly visible pioneers, such as Elon Musk, who he says are redefining the satellite industry.

Recent developments such as Google planning to launch 180 satellites in order to provide worldwide Internet connection further shows that the industry can have greater influence toward the betterment of people’s lives across the globe,” he says.
