Germany’s Media Broadcast Satellite (MBS) signed a launch deal with South Korean launch startup Innospace for two missions to Low-Earth Orbit (LEO).
Innospace will launch two missions with its HANBIT launch vehicle for MBS, with one launch set for 2026 and the other planned by 2028. MBS satellites will serve as the primary payloads. The two launch deal announced Sept. 19 is worth $5.8 million.
In addition, the companies also signed an agreement that MBS will operate as Innospace’s exclusive agent for launch service sales and marketing in Germany. This marks Innospace entering the European market.
Innospace is preparing for the first commercial launch of its HANBIT-Nano vehicle. The startup completed the qualification test of the second stage in July.
“Securing a multi-launch service contract is a meaningful achievement made possible by MBS’s deep trust in and expectations for Innospace,” said Soojong Kim, founder and CEO of Innospace. “Based on our exclusive agency agreement with MBS, we plan to strengthen our local sales capabilities and customer networks, accelerating brand recognition and customer acquisition across the European market.”
