Thuraya Targets Shipping Sector with IoT Product Launch

Thuraya has revealed details of a new IoT product targeting the shipping sector. It has announced the release of Cypod Solutions’ CyLock-Satcom Product, using Thuraya’s network, an IoT new tracking and monitoring product that Thuraya hopes will transform shipping logistics. Cypod Solutions is a company based in Norway. The two companies announced the new product on Oct. 17.

The CyLock product aims to provide additional features and tools which will optimize container freight operations and increase business efficiency. The two companies hope it will meet the diverse demands of the global logistics sector. It aims to optimize customers’ container shipping operations, enhance safety measures, and secure the transportation of sensitive and critical merchandise. It has primarily been developed for the global logistics sector.
