BlackSky Technology received a one-year, follow-on contract worth $10 million to provide an  international ministry of defense customer in Asia. The Tuesday announcement was short on details about the unnamed customer, but BlackSky said it will provide the customer with “on-demand, real-time high-resolution imagery services.”

The company also said it has a quickly expanding international customer base and this contract represents a five-fold increase in the client’s capacity use over the past year.

“BlackSky’s on-demand imagery tasking with low-latency delivery has become an essential part of their daily operations,” commented Andy Stephenson, vice president of International Sales and Business Development. “We deliver thousands of images and analytics every month to organizations worldwide, delivering transparency and insights into border crossings, nuclear and port facilities, and other economically critical infrastructure.”
