Avanti and GRC Sign Contract to Support Defense Comms

Avanti Communications Group has signed a minimum commitment contract valued at $500,000 with Global Radiodata Communications (GRC), which develops and supplies mission-critical communication products and solutions to provide Ka-band satellite communications to defense and commercial operations. Following successful trials, Avanti and GRC will deploy secure high data-rate communications across Avanti’s High Throughput Satellites (HTS), Hylas 1 and Hylas 2, using GRC’s miniaturized terminal solution.

The strategic partnership directly supports defense and security organizations in the provision of military satcom across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The capability also demonstrates Avanti’s ability to support the growth in the Internet of Things (IOT) and connected sensors, as well as enable defense and security organizations to take advantage of full motion video, as well as other Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) data.
