[Satellite TODAY 09-07-12] Canadian essential information solutions provider MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates (MDA) has signed two contract amendments with the Commonwealth of Australia that are worth more than $100 million combined, MDA announced Sept. 7.
The first amendment extends MDA’s Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) surveillance service for the Australian Defense Force (ADF) at the Kandahar Airfield for an additional two years. The second amendment provides for a three-month assessment activity that will provide critical information in support of Australia’s efforts in Afghanistan.
MDA has been supporting the Australian Forces with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance service since January 2010.
