[Satellite TODAY 04-01-11] Geospatial solutions provider RapidEye continued its initiative to build a worldwide network of imagery partners by selecting Ramani Geosystems as its distributor in Kenya, RapidEye announced March 31.
As RapidEye’s first sub-Saharan reseller, Ramani will distribute RapidEye products throughout the entire continent of Africa, excluding Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia and Western Sahara.
Ramani said RapidEye’s 5-meter imagery can help regional developers cut costs by designing detailed areas of interest before they undertake aerial photography and LIDAR surveys.
