[Satellite TODAY 03-30-11] Vizada was awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 70 Future Comsatcom Services Acquisition (FCSA) contract to provide U.S. government and military customers access to Vizada’s portfolio of mobile satellite services, the satellite communications provider announced March 30.
Vizada will offer its full line of Inmarsat, Iridium and Thuraya products and services under the FCSA program’s Schedule 70 SIN 132-55 contract vehicle, which will replace the Satcom 2 and DITCO MSS programs when they expire in May 2012.
“With Schedule 70, we’re packaging our services precisely in the way the government buys them. This streamlines the procurement process so they can more quickly and cost-effectively satisfy their MSS needs. Our government customers know they can rely on Vizada to put together the right mix of service offerings to meet their critical mission goals and keep people and troops safe,” Vizada Americas Vice President of Sales Bo Norton said in a statement.
