NASA Issues ISS Mission Integration Contract to Barrios Technology

      [Satellite TODAY 06-29-10] NASA has awarded a contract with a maximum value of $273 million to Barrios Technology for International Space Station (ISS) mission integration services support, the agency announced June 26.
          The fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract includes a base period of more than five years and two one-year options worth about $42.7 million and $45 million, respectively.
          Barrios Technology will provide support for engineering and technical services required to support the ISS program. This includes products and services for space station mission planning, integration and operations, international partner integration, and Russian language and logistics services.
          Houston-based TechTrans International will act as a subcontractor on the contract. Work will be performed primarily at or near NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston and the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Work also will be performed at other locations in and outside of the United States, including Russia and Kazakhstan.
