[Satellite TODAY 04-21-10] GMV has opened a subsidiary in Darmstadt, Germany, the Madrid-based space company announced April 20.
The new subsidiary aims to enhance GMV’s relationship with the European Space Agency’s Operations Center (ESOC) and Eumetsat as well as provide insight into other opportunities in the technology sector.
GMV relations with Germany date back to 1984, when the company won its first contract with ESOC to develop the two main space institutions in Darmstadt. GMV is an operations, simulation systems, ground segment software and space debris system supplier for ESOC and Eumetsat.
