[Satellite TODAY 03-03-10] The Taiwanese government has selected XipLink to provide Tai E Trading Co. with optimization equipment and technology in support of services that will be used in a national defense-related network over a SCPC satellite links, XipLink announced March 2.
XipLink’s technology will aim to increase the network’s bandwidth utilization through acceleration, compression and quality of service offerings.
XipLink appliances also will support key value-added options such as a factory installed dynamic web cache, IPSec integrated security software and XiPix lossy compression for outbound web optimization.
“Tai E Trading is a valued partner for us and we are excited to help them drive capital cost efficiencies of such scale to their customer,” XipLink Managing Director of Asia Sales Sasmith Reddi said in a statement.
