[Satellite Today 09-23-08] Arrowhead Global Solutions has been awarded a task order by the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency to provide space segment and operations and maintenance support for the Global Broadcast Service (GBS), Arrowhead announced Sept. 23.
As part of the award, Arrowhead will provide a Ka-band link and all related services to establish connectivity between the U.S. Naval Station Rota in Spain and surface ships, submarines and land-based units operating in the Atlantic Ocean, European coastal areas and Africa.
The order is valued at $11.5 million.
