[Satellite Today 08-29-08] Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (SingTel) has received the 2008 Asia Pacific Frost and Sullivan Technology Leadership Award in the field of maritime broadband communications.
SingTel’s office-at-sea suite of maritime applications and its collaboration with the Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA) to establish the Satcom@SMA maritime innovation hub were among several attributes the company was praised for.
Frost & Sullivan evaluates candidates based on a stringent set of qualitative and quantitative measurements. Its criteria included the pace of technological innovation, and the impact of the technology on the maritime industry.
