[Satellite Today 07-24-08] Kayser-Threde GmbH received the prime contract from the Space Agency of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) for the TET-1 satellite, the company announced July 24.
Kayser-Threde with manufacture and test the satellite, develop the infrastructure for the satellite mission, and procure launch services.
TET-1 is the core element of DLR’s On-Orbit Verification program, which is designed to test new technologies in a space environment for a year.
