Stellant Systems, a manufacturer of radio frequency (RF) and microwave amplification products, is set to be acquired by TransDigm Group Incorporated for $960 million in cash.

TransDigm announced a definitive agreement to acquire Stellant Systems on Dec. 31. TransDigm Group is a global designer, producer and supplier of aircraft components. The company is publicly listed.

Stellant Systems will continue doing business under its current name with no changes to operations, a representative for Stellant Systems told Via Satellite on Wednesday. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals.

Stellant Systems has been owned by private equity firm Arlington Capital Partners since October of 2021. It was formerly the L3Harris Electron Devices division and Narda Microwave-West. It is the only manufacturer of space-qualified traveling wave tubes (TWT) in the United States. Its products include the nanoMPM RF power amplifier, which supports the Airbus OneSat satellite line

According to TransDigm, Stellant Systems is expected to generate approximately $300 million in revenue for the calendar year ending December 31, 2025.

“[Stellant’s] highly engineered, proprietary products generate significant aftermarket revenue and fit well with our long-standing business strategy. The company has established positions across a diverse range of both commercial and defense platforms, adding new products and services to TransDigm’s portfolio,” commented TransDigm CEO Mike Lisman.
